Martha’s 10 yo Tawny Port
Martha’s 10 yo Tawny Port is a formidable port wine, aged in oak barrels.
The wine has 19.5% alcohol content and is made from a blend of 6 different grapes: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Amarela, and Tinta Roriz. With its deep classic tawny color and complex flavors of nuts and toasted aromas, the experience culminates in a rich, lingering, delightful finish.
The Martha family established their first vineyard in the Douro Valley in 1727. Initially, the family merely cultivated grapes that were sold to other wine producers, but six generations ago, they began their own port wine production. They handle everything from harvesting, production, bottling, and commercialization themselves, making them what you might call a field-to-bottle operation.
Today, they offer a wide range of products; primarily consisting of port wine, but moscatel can also be found in their assortment. There is undoubtedly a port wine for everyone in the Martha’s series.
Tasting notes for Martha’s 10 yo Tawny Port:

Comments
Beautiful, deep red color – Perfect for heavier desserts.
Serve slightly chilled, perfect on its own or combined with Portuguese egg cake, nut tart, or any type of “rich” desserts.
